The golf course at Scotswood Links was founded by Scotty and Peggie Sisson and family in 1987. The original clubhouse consisted of an old army building, which the family planned on operating out of no longer than 10 years. 30 years later, the small Scottish-inspired shack was still standing but as the business grew, so did the need for space. On April 29, 2017, Scotswood celebrated the opening of their brand new clubhouse, while employing more than 50 peak-season staff. Scotswood Links continues to be owned and operated by the Sisson family to date.
